A weekend of warmth, vibration, and deep presence — February 27 - March 1
We invite you to a truly special weekend where the power of sauna meets the transformative universe of sound. Together with sauna master Nicolas and specially invited guests, The Well will be filled with gongs, handpan, joik, and meditation — carefully woven together with warm rituals and precise steam work. Through sauna ceremonies, live music, and immersive soundscapes, we create space to calm the nervous system, awaken the senses, and reconnect more deeply with yourself.
Together with actor and singer Mikkel Gaup, Nicolas creates a unique meeting between Sámi joik and South American indigenous traditions — an experience where voice, nature, and primal energy merge. Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Txai Fernando brings organic and atmospheric soundscapes that elevate the rituals. Yoga teacher and sound healer Massimo Barberi adds a meditative and dreamlike dimension through his Yoga Nidra–inspired sound experiences. Gong master Tor Arne guides deep gong baths that ground and open the space. Musician and handpan maker Johan Zaar fills the sauna with warm, harmonious tones from the handpan, an instrument known for its soothing resonance. From the Czech Republic, sauna master David Kraus brings precise and powerful rituals, using steam, heat, and masterful technique to create a safe, intense, and deeply present atmosphere.

The People Behind the Experience
Nicolas Cañon
Nicolas has devoted his path to both sauna and sound therapy. He has facilitated numerous sound journeys and deeply relaxing sound sessions, guiding participants into stillness, presence, and inner connection. Using gongs, crystal harps, singing bowls, and other sacred instruments, he creates a vibrational soundscape carefully designed to open, calm, and transform. Through sound and sauna, he invites you into a space for relaxation, release, and renewal.
Mikkel Gaup
Mikkel Gaup is a renowned actor and singer with a long career in film, theatre, and music. He is widely known for his work in highlighting and preserving Sámi culture and tradition.
Together with Nicolas, he will create a meeting between the Sámi spirit and South American indigenous traditions, a unique fusion of voice, joik, and vibration. Through joik, the power of nature, and cultural heritage, you are invited into an experience where warmth, earth, and spirit merge.
David Kraus
David Kraus is a skilled sauna master from the Czech Republic, known for creating powerful and memorable sauna experiences. With precise steam work, advanced towel techniques, and carefully controlled heat, he holds a strong and supportive space in the sauna. His presence and attention to detail elevate the ritual, inviting guests into an experience of warmth, relaxation, and connection.
Tor Arne Håve
Tor Arne is an experienced gong master with many years of work with gongs and sound. As a seasoned sound engineer, he has a unique understanding of vibration, frequency, and space. His gong baths open the door to deep, resonant experiences that both ground and expand. A journey into the powerful universe of sound.
Johan Zaar
Johan Zaar is a musician and handpan maker behind JZ SoundArt Handpans. At The Well, he performs his own compositions on the handpan, a meditative instrument known for its warm and harmonious sound. After the performance, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions, try the instruments themselves with personal guidance, and purchase selected handpans directly on site.
Txai Fernando
Txai Fernando is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and producer of enchanting world music. With a rich musical expression, innovative soundscapes, and a unique universal style, he creates deep and atmospheric experiences. Based in Oslo and active as a touring musician, he collaborates with artists such as Amazon Ensemble, Astral Flowers, Ayla Schafer, and Curawaka. During Sound Journey Weekend, his vibrant and organic sound universe will elevate the rituals to new heights.
Massimo Barberi
Massimo Barberi has practiced yoga since 1991 and has been teaching in Italy and Norway since 2000. He is trained in traditional Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Tantra Yoga under the guidance of Indian acharyas, and is certified in Yin Yoga, trauma-informed yoga, and Ayurvedic therapy. As a musician and sound healer, he developed the concept of Yoga Nidra Concerts — meditative music and poetry events also known as Dreaming Concerts. He has released five albums of ambient meditation music with his project The White Whisper and published two books on yoga.
Massimo brings a deep, calm, and dreamlike dimension to the weekend’s program.
