The Well x International Sauna Congress 2026

September 24th – 26th

Welcome to the world's largest sauna event

The world's leading sauna congress is coming to Oslo

In September 2026, researchers, health experts, decision-makers, sauna enthusiasts and wellness professionals from around the world will gather in Oslo for the International Sauna Congress. The congress is an international meeting place for knowledge sharing, research and discussions on the role of sauna in health, wellbeing and society.

As the main sponsor and host of the congress opening evening, The Well is proud to support this unique event. Through our involvement, we aim to contribute to a greater understanding of how sauna, heat, cold, rest and recovery can influence health, quality of life and overall wellbeing.

Sauna Is More Relevant Than Ever

For centuries, sauna has been a natural part of everyday life in many cultures. In recent years, interest in sauna and hot-cold experiences has grown significantly, both across the Nordic region and internationally.

At the same time, there is growing interest in how sauna can support recovery, stress management, sleep and quality of life. In a world where many people experience high levels of stress and increasingly limited opportunities for rest, sauna has gained renewed relevance as a space for wellbeing, connection and relaxation.

Sauna and the Future of Public Health

Ahead of the International Sauna Congress, The Well will host a national roundtable discussion bringing together researchers, public health authorities, policymakers and representatives from the wellness and sauna industries to explore the role of sauna in future public health initiatives.

The goal is to gather knowledge, experiences and perspectives that can contribute to a broader understanding of how sauna, recovery and community can support health and quality of life.

Shaping the Future of Wellness Culture

Inspired by international spa and sauna traditions, The Well has spent many years helping to elevate sauna culture in Norway. Our ambition is not only to create exceptional guest experiences, but also to contribute to a greater understanding of the role sauna can play in modern society.

This is why our partnership with the International Sauna Congress is a natural part of our long-term commitment to research, knowledge sharing and the development of future wellness culture.

The Well at the International Sauna Congress

As the main sponsor of the International Sauna Congress 2026, The Well will host the official opening evening of the congress. Here, delegates from around the world will gather to experience the largest spa in the Nordic region and explore sauna and wellness traditions inspired by cultures from across the globe.

Through this event, we aim to contribute to international knowledge sharing and demonstrate how modern wellness can bring together tradition, innovation and research.

Welcome to The Well

At The Well, delegates will have the opportunity to experience the largest spa in the Nordic region and explore a wide range of saunas, pools, rituals and wellness experiences inspired by international spa and sauna traditions.

Through heat and cold, activity and rest, we aim to offer a glimpse into how modern wellness can unite tradition, innovation and research.

We look forward to welcoming the world to Oslo, and to The Well.
